If your back keeps going and you keep patching it up and hoping, Angus has been there.
In his words: "I was in a dark place when I started. I was regularly seeing an osteopath after repeatedly pinging my back and having my hips feel out of alignment. I was lacking core strength and using the osteopath as a band-aid for a bullet-hole problem."
He knew what the real gap was. "What I really needed was accountability and routine, otherwise it was too easy to bury my head in the sand."
So he started with Billy, and he hasn't missed a scheduled session since. Apart from one: "the time I left my keys at the airport!"
The payoff is the one he was after. "I've now almost achieved the anti-goal of not needing to go back to the osteopath because of ongoing issues. I'm not really a goal person, but I'm open to training towards something."
Along the way he and Billy have already knocked off the 1,000 Push-Up Challenge.
On what the sessions are actually like: "For me, training with Billy is basically group therapy. He knows when to push and when to adjust depending on how you're feeling that day."
His advice for anyone on the fence:
"Don't think of it as money going out of your account. Think of it as an investment in yourself."
And what's next? "I guess I'm waiting to see what Billy comes up with next. 😅"
Great work, Angus. From a band-aid fix to a body that holds up, built one session at a time. And well done Billy on knowing exactly when to push and when to pull back.
